Plusbac / Measurement foundations
From missing tracking
to measurable actions.

01 / The audit
Check the journey.
Find the gap.
Plusbac had an existing Meta Pixel, but the website routes we tested were not loading it. Two complete anonymous network captures, covering the homepage and a product page, showed no Meta requests.
We reviewed the measurement setup alongside the WooCommerce shopping journey and consent controls. The immediate task was to establish a working browser integration and test what it actually sent.
We retained the existing Pixel, keeping the repair connected to the client’s established measurement asset.
02 / The implementation
A clear choice.
Then measurement.
We implemented a marketing-consent banner with accept, reject and preference controls, connected the browser Pixel and enabled the relevant ecommerce events. Targeted updates to the existing privacy and cookie pages explained the Meta tracking and how to withdraw consent.
Before consent
No Meta requests appeared in the complete captures before a choice, after rejection or after withdrawal and reload.
After acceptance
The Pixel loaded and the tested browsing and shopping actions produced events on the existing asset.
These checks cover the Meta integration and the tested consent states. They are not a certification of every cookie, browser or privacy requirement.
03 / The checks
Follow the action.
Check the receipt.
We followed the journey from page visit to checkout, comparing browser requests with activity received in Meta. The client completed the coordinated test payment privately.
| Action | Evidence recorded |
|---|---|
| PageView and ViewContent | Browser requests and receipt in Meta Test Events. |
| AddToCart and InitiateCheckout | Browser requests and receipt in Meta Test Events; one event per tested action in the complete scoped captures. |
| Purchase | One active browser Purchase appeared in Meta after the client’s coordinated test order. |
| Consent controls | Accept, reject and withdrawal behaviour checked; banner reviewed on desktop and at a 390 × 844 mobile viewport. |
The Purchase check established receipt of one browser event. Its individual parameter values and behaviour on repeated confirmation-page visits were not independently reconciled. Physical-device and every-product coverage were outside this validation.
04 / The handover
A working foundation.
A defined next step.
The handover documented the changes, the five browser event types received and the checks completed. Plusbac had a consent-controlled browser event path and a clearer record of what its measurement setup could demonstrate.
Server-side tracking through Meta’s Conversions API, Advanced Matching and campaign launch remained separately scoped work. This case records a tracking implementation and validation, with no claim of increased sales or advertising return.
For an ecommerce business, that distinction matters: seeing an event arrive is a useful first check. Reliable campaign decisions also need accurate values, clear attribution and reconciliation against actual orders.
